More website creation.
Sat here with my main man Hafiz learning how to make my website, I should hopefully have it up in the week! I always shied away from coding and programming but now I’m starting to see the nicer, more welcoming side of it (thank god). It will be nice to have an online presence for my work and projects. P.s. I need a job!
Although I’m still not impressed that Urbis’ “Museum of the City” concept has been dumped for the National Football Museum, I am however quite impressed with the simplicity of the new identity by Design by Music. Straight forward, no fuss typographic identity using a nice spread of colours. I look forward to seeing it in practice.

As my professional contexts 3 project I am going to be organising an exhibition for a few people on my course, as well as people that I know who are artists, designers and illustrators working in and around Manchester. The exhibition will take place in the heart of Manchester’s city centre so it is accessible to all who are invited. The exhibition will also serve as a social event that is similar to the ‘DNA’ events which some students from my course are running, I plan to invite as many people who work in industry as possible. I will also be designing all of the promotion and branding for the event and will gain ideas from my peers and other people who will be exhibiting their work. I have a meeting with owners of a building in town later this evening in order to discuss arrangements for the event and costs etc.
This is a music video compilation of A Scanner Darkly, it’s something that I have been reffering to in order to get the style for my Dave adverts. I think my advert is shaping up well, now I just have to finish it off. Some of the imagery is the same as the styles used in this video, but my main challenge was rotoscoping only one figure wihin a frame as opposed to the frame. this meant that I had to isolate the figure in every frame and apply an effect to it instead of to the whole frame.
This is amazing! I had a go at rotoscoping today with a jimi hendrix video. I’ll upload it later, rotoscoping is great but it takes ages to do a frame by frame edit of even a short 20 second long video. It looks like I have a lot of work to do in the next few weeks, but I’m going to enjoy it (me thinks…).
I’m so doing this when I have the money to buy a lightsaber handle!!
Looking at rotoscoping for use in my television sting. Definatley a technique I want to use.
